We will definitely return here as this is one of the best sites we have stayed on. It\'s also fantastic to be right in Beaulieu which is a lovely village.

Nice site for families.įantastic and peaceful site with lovely large pitches. Pitches were well laid out and mostly level. A suggestion is for hand washing soap dispensers at sinks by toilets, for simple hygiene reasons (In place on their sister campsites) - Others come and wash and also clean there teeth there. Cote d’Dordogne restaurant was especially fabulous. Jen Boulton, on this campsite in June 2018īeautifully positioned site with an easy stroll into a pretty town with bars and restaurants and food shops. It is let down by very poor WIFI and we were disappointed that the chemical toilet was a long way from the sites at the west end of the camp site and the restaurant/bar was not open during our visit in June/July (except during the World Cup) The facilities are good and well maintained and the reception staff were excellent to the extent that, on arrival we were met in the middle of the town because a fire had blocked off the road to the site entrance. This is a superb camp site in a perfect location on the bank of the Dordogne and adjacent to the attractive historic town of Beaulieu Sur Dordogne, which has good facilities and a good range of restaurants catering for all tastes. Richard Paige, on this campsite in June 2018 Fuel is available at Intermarché over the river, or at Leclerc in the next town. There are 4/5 baker/patisseries, markets twice a week, and a couple of small shops. The town is literally at the gate there\'s an excellent restaurant just round the corner serving modern cuisine (think Raymond Blanc) for most lunchtimes, and several others of high quality. This friendliness sets the tone for the clientele too. During one intense storm, the management were touring the site making sure everyone was OK. The Huttopia ethos is a good fit, with natural shower blocks and a casual friendliness from the staff. The river runs either side, a cold mountain stream theres usually a heron or a fly fisherman there. One fellow camper described it as \"paradise\" - it\'s a parkland setting, with chaffinches, cole tits and nuthatches feeding right in front of you. We\'ve visited here for several years now, and plan to return again. Julian Bryant, on this campsite in June 2018 Lovely peaceful site once all the kids had gone I would visit again given most things were great the town, the environment etc etc. We were in our Motorhome and pitched by the river. Linsey Arnold, on this campsite in September 2018 Lovely historic region with stunning views lots to see. Nice site on island in the river, toilet facilities good but no handrails on very slippery steps down from the loo block. Nice campsite near river nice pitches we have been there beflore and will visit again.ĭavid Leonard, on this campsite in May 2019 JOHN BRADLEY, on this campsite in May 2019 5 mt drive to good Intermarche which also has a laverie at the back of the car park and well priced fuel. Lovely walk upriver into the historic village which has enough shops/cafes for your immediate needs or you can go via the main entrance (-which is quite narrow - turn down the road by the side of the Pharmacy on arrival). Very pleasant to stroll around the site and exciting to walk over the footbridge over the weir. Fairly level and different sizes - good mix of sun and shade. Large sprawling site by the River Dordogne - you pay extra for pitches by the riverside.
